Raceway Motorsports History

Raceway Motorsports is a Kart Racing team that was formed in 2006 to compete in the Long Island Karting Association (LIKA) kart racing series. Raceway Motorsports is owned and operated by driver Lou Jounakos, a three-time LIKA karting champion.

Raceway Motorsports is not only a competitor, but also a parts vendor and supporter of other participants in the LIKA racing series. Raceway Motorsports (Team Raceway) participates in the Super Yamaha Senior class at LIKA events. In 2007, Team Raceway ran in 11 of the 14 LIKA events held. Team Raceway finished 3rd in Overall Year-end points, and 2nd in points for the Vanderbilt Race Series.
